To Secretaries of Constituent Clubs

 1 - CAPITATION FEES The following fees were agreed at the Annual General Meeting on 12th December 2007:-
 Capitation Fee of £2.35 on all male members over 16 years of age.
 Capitation Fee of 30p per male member under 16 years of age.

Note: Capitation fees are required for all members who bowl. (I.e. Full/Affiliate/or Social Member.


   2 - CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITIONS  An entry fee of £8.00 is payable for each of the Championship Competitions 
( receipt of the appropriate fees constitutes the official entries.)Clubs are limited to ONE ENTRY for each competition, apart from the Senior Fours, where a Club can submit Multiple entries. In addition please ensure that you're Match Secretary/Convener is aware that a player cannot compete in more than one of the Championships, up to and including Ayr Northfield. 
This ruling does not apply to the Mixed Pairs Competition. A player entered in the National Championship is also eligible to play in the Mixed Pairs. For the Junior Singles, competitors must be under 25 years of age at 1st April 2008. Full name and date of birth to be submitted with the entry form by 30th April i.e. prior to the first match in the competition.  For the Senior Fours Competition, competitors must be not less than 60 years of age at 1st April 2008.

 3 - CLUB PRESIDENT'S BADGE It was decided at the AGM on 13th December 1989 that all Club Presidents should receive a lapel badge  during their year in Office. District Councilor's will be responsible for the distribution of such badges. It was  also decided that each club would bear the cost of the badge, which is £1.00.

 Note that this is a mandatory requirement 

 4 - Registration of Club Membership.

Should a significant drop in the number of members appear in your Capitation return, the District Councilor/Director is at liberty to call for an audit, in order to determine the possible cause.

 5 - PAYMENT FOR CAPITATION/COMPETITIONS 
      and PRESIDENT'S BADGE

 Care should be taken to ensure that the fees payable are correctly stated on the form, and that the completed form together with the remittance is returned within the due date. 
All cheques, postal orders, money orders etc. should be crossed and made 
Payable to the SCOTTISH BOWLING ASSOCIATION.
(Please do not staple cheques) Receipts will not be issued unless requested and a stamped address envelope enclosed.

  6 - PAYMENT TOURNAMENT LICENSE

 A separate payment should accompany any Tournament Application(Please do not include value in Capitation and Competition fees)

  7 - MERCHANDISING

 To purchase any of the items on the enclosed Merchandising List, this also requires A separate cheque together with the completed list.

  The most common problems found with returns from the clubs are:

  1) Payment of President's badge not included.
  2) Cheque value does not match total due.
  3) The Junior age form is either returned blank with Capitation Payment because entrant isn't yet known or it is returned after the competition has started.

 ALL RETURNS MUST BE RECEIVED BEFORE 29th FEBRUARY OR YOUR CLUB'S   PARTICIPATION IN THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS WILL NOT TAKE PLACE
