TRIBUTES have been paid to Rutherglen’s former Scottish international ladies indoor bowls captain Angela Boyle, who died last month.

Angela was a regular fixture in the Scottish national bowls finals and in 2007 she partnered Kathy Gemmell to reach the final of the Scottish Championships at the Northfield green in Ayr.
Angela was a past winner of the Cambuslang and Rutherglen Sports Council female sports personality of the year.
Sports council chairman Russell Clearie said: “I would like to offer the condolences of the sports council to her husband Charlie and her family on the passing of Angela.
